I'm a personal English language tutor from London. CELTA qualified with 7 years of experience teaching English at all levels, I also have a Master's in Art History and English from St Andrews.
I now live in the south west of the UK but I have also lived in France and Spain and I'm learning a few languages as well - French, Spanish, Japanese and Welsh - so I see learning a language from both the perspective of the teacher and the student. Sometimes it's hard but it's always rewarding!
Other than teaching my interests include playing squash, stand up paddleboarding and museum/gallery exhibitions. I'm also passionate about wine, for which I hold a diploma, and have just taken up gardening.我的教學經歷
Having taught many people English at all levels, I've seen them make big improvements often in a short time. I have a relaxed and friendly attitude and work with you to bring out your best - there's no one size fits all approach and I make sure to customise lessons to suit you.
I tutor Cambridge exams - KEY, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE - and IELTS and help my students ace their exams and build confidence.
I'm committed to helping you improve and achieve your language learning goals. As well as exam preparation, I also offer conversation classes which cover a range of topics and include looking at news and magazine articles.我的課程內容與教學風格
My classes are relaxed and based around conversation while using real life materials and if you are working towards an exam, we'll use authentic material to help prepare you fully.
I adapt classes to the student and aim to help you make progress in any area you choose, from speaking to writing, grammar to vocabulary. I think it's important for you to speak as much as possible in a lesson so that you feel you're applying the language you learn and get fluent.

Charlie is a really excellent teacher. I have had a few courses with him for exam preparation. In these courses we talked about not only the exam itself, but also something about the history and the culture. If you want to learn English more than a language, you shouldn't miss his course ! What more he is good at explaining vocabulary, you can always understand them easily.:)
