I'm Cahyo, a native speaker of Javanese and Indonesian. I earned a bachelor’s degree in English. Over the past nine years, I have been involved in various professional activities, including Javanese Wikipedia community management, translation, and teaching language. I hold a bachelor's degree in English literature, and I have experience teaching Javanese both online and in person. My teaching philosophy is centered around creating an engaging learning environment for my students. My lessons will cover topics ranging from daily conversation in ngoko (casual language) and krama (formal language) to reading Javanese in the alphabet and hanacaraka (the Javanese alphabet). I am very happy with my first lesson with Cahyo. Although I am not a total beginner I felt I learned a lot in just one lesson. He is very calm and friendly and he put me at ease. He is very knowledgeable and I can tell that he has a passion for his language which he told me he has studied in depth at university level. He explained the expressions and the grammar in a simple way without over-emphasizing in details. Very good teacher overall!
