Hi, I'm JC and I'm originally from New York, USA. I have spent nearly half my life living in Asia, learning about many new cultures and meeting many people.
I used to teach full-time in classrooms but now I teach in private. I also write books and make short films. In my spare time I like to delve into Climate Change and Astrophysics research as well as watching documentaries, mainly ones about history.
Currently, I teach English, French and Russian. Classroom experience: 3 years (S.Korea,China and Japan). Private teaching experience: 4+ years

I have worked in high pressure environments such as company meeting halls with large groups of people but I prefer to teach in private. I think 1-on-1 lessons are far more beneficial than other types of lessons. Other lessons may indeed be more fun but you will likely learn less.
After teaching for 7+ years now, there were many demonstrable success stories with students regularly passing various language tests such as EIKEN in Japan or TRKI in Russia. I combine writing, speaking and listening into a unique experience. I also include thorough notes after each class, not just things copy-pasted from the chat.我的課程內容與教學風格
I am very laid back and flexible. You don't need to worry! In my classes, I always start with a brief introduction conversation and then we look at a variety of materials, reading, grammar, vocabulary and listening. I also give homework, which is typically worksheets and short essays. We can discuss these in the next class and I can provide real-time corrections and I provide a more thorough correction after class (in the notes).我的教材
