Hello hello! Who is Jean? 💁♀️ Here's a little bit about me:
🌻 I am 30 years old.
📍I was born in Kentucky, but now I live in Florida.
📖 I love to read,
🔤 learn new languages,
🐶 play with my dog,
📺 watch old TV shows (like Golden Girls!),
🍿 watch movies (I love superheroes 🦸♀️ and rom-coms 💕),
🎮 play games (like MarioKart and Animal Crossing),
✈️ and travel! I have been to the Bahamas 🇧🇸, Taiwan 🇹🇼, Hong Kong 🇭🇰, England 🏴, Scotland 🏴, and Wales 🏴.
🤓 I call myself a "language nerd" because I am fascinated by languages. Seriously, I read linguistics textbooks for fun 🙈 so that's one of the reasons I'm here on iTalki!我的教學經歷
I've taught English online since 2019. I have a TEFL certification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). I also have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky in English and a Master's of Fine Arts from Seton Hill University. One of these days, I want to start a Master's in Applied Linguistics. (Language nerd, remember?!)

My lessons are very casual. Do you know the phrase "nit picky"? It describes someone who looks for every mistake, someone who is very critical. I am NOT nit picky. In our classes, I listen for patterns: when you make the same mistake many times, I will tell you about it. But I will not correct every mistake. It's more important to me that we have a conversation like real people. Of course, I will answer any question you have about English! But I will not interrupt you to correct your mistakes.
