Hello! My name is Winda and I live in Bali currently. I am a certified translator with three years of experience in business translation and a tutor who has been teaching both English and Indonesian for five years. I graduated with an English Language and Literature degree minoring in linguistics. I am very passionate about language and I love sharing anything regarding language with other people. I can also help you with your travel and moving plans to Indonesia, especially Bali and East Java.

我的教學經歷

I am a firm believer in the saying "Language is the key to the heart of people". With five years of experience in teaching English and Indonesian, and many years in learning languages, I am aware that in order to build good relationships with other people regardless of their backgrounds, we need to have at least one mutual language that allows us to express our thoughts and feelings to each other. As a teacher, my goal is to help my students communicate with other people in either English or Indonesian seamlessly.

我的課程內容與教學風格

I offer Indonesian lessons for beginners to advanced learners, and English lessons for beginners to upper intermediate learners. My areas of expertise include vocabulary improvement, grammar and speaking. I will help you learn how to build sentences and improve your vocabulary knowledge. Tell me what you want to achieve before we start our first lesson so I can prepare the materials and deliver them to you. I provide some games and quizzes sometimes. With quizzes, hopefully you can see how improved your language skills are and with games, hopefully you can stay interested in the lessons and do not get bored.

I just finished my first online Indonesian conversation class. The instructor used Google Docs to conduct the lesson, which made it very easy to follow. Since the teacher speaks English, it also helps me improve my English. I'm studying both English and Indonesian, so I really enjoyed this lesson.

I had an excellent lesson with Winda on Italki. She was polite, energetic, diligent, and incredibly patient throughout our session. Winda was on time and handled a technical hiccup with great patience when my phone disconnected twice. She started speaking in Indonesian to assess my comprehension, but she quickly transitioned to English. Her communication was clear, and she always ensured I understood before moving on, even asking for feedback throughout the lesson. Her explanations were thorough, and she prepared well for our session. What I appreciated most was how kind she was during moments where I struggled. She would patiently repeat words until I improved, and when I couldn’t get it after a few tries, she moved forward without making me feel pressured. Her smile and positive attitude made the lesson enjoyable, and the hour flew by before I even realized it! Overall, the lesson exceeded my expectations. Winda made me feel comfortable, and I’m looking forward to more lessons!
