Hi everyone, I'm Mirjam (or simply Miri). I'm a native German speaker who lives in Leipzig, in the east of Germany. I've been teaching German for several years. First I started out with teaching friends and tandem partners from different countries, then I moved on to teaching German online. Currently I'm studying Cultural Studies and I'm completing a course for teaching English. I traveled a lot after finishing high school, including a five month Working Holiday stay in Australia. Learning languages is one of my passions. Currently I'm focusing mainly on improving my Spanish and French, using Italki as a student as well, so I know what it feels like to be a language student too. :)我的教學經歷
As a teacher, I focus on speaking and building your confidence in using German. My lessons are flexible and tailored to your interests, so whether it’s discussing a topic, analyzing a video, or listening to music, we’ll always work on improving your speaking skills. In my lessons, speaking is key! I focus on creating a relaxed environment where you can talk confidently in German. Each lesson is personalized based on your level and interests. We use a variety of materials like videos, music, or texts, making learning fun and engaging. Like many language learners, I find speaking to be the most challenging aspect. Although I have only recently started lessons with Mirjam, I already enjoy her teaching approach. She provides encouragement, guidance, and effectively directs conversations. Her patience and support create a comfortable and motivating learning environment. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to build confidence in speaking German.

It was my first lesson, and she was very nice. Overall, it was just a session to grasp my understanding of German and what level I'm at.
She went through some dialogue with me and answered any questions I had to the best of her ability which was really helpful. Though I've only had one lesson so far, she's actually a good teacher and I would recommend Mirjam to anyone wanting to learn German.
