I am Andy Mondesir. I'm from Haiti. I'm here on italki to help you meet your goals in learning French or Haitian Creole. I have 4 years of experience as a tutor in both French and Haitian Creole. My main teaching method is to get to know my students. I think it is important to understand both what a students' interests are, as well as their ability in the language that they are learning. By getting to know each of my students needs, wants, and goals, I am able to put together custom lessons for each of our sessions together. I take the time to customize each lesson you have with me so that the vocabulary, speed of conversation, and subject area focus are tailored to just a bit beyond where you are currently in the language you are learning. This allows you to reinforce what you already know in the language, as well as acquire a little bit more each time we meet!我的課程內容與教學風格
In our lessons together, I will focus on high-frequency words and verbs in the language you are learning. By exposing you repeatedly to the words that are most often used in the language, you are able to gain fluency faster. I will use books for each level of A1 A2 B1 B2 C1 C2 in
our sessions. I will use words and sentence structures you know, but each time stretch a little bit beyond what you are comfortable with so that you take away something new from each lesson. This is called giving you input at the level of i +1. By focusing on exactly where you are in your target language and always challenging you to learn a little more each time, you will meet your goals in no time!我的教材

Slowly but surely I am building my confidence in French with Andy. Our last few lessons we have focused solely on dialogue and maintaining a conversation. I cannot speak at his speed yet, but I am noticing improvements in comprehension and being able to formulate responses in a timely manner. I plan to continue the language journey in hopes to improve my fluency.

Despite initially struggling with studying two languages at once in university, thanks for Andy's lessons I feel like my French has improved a lot during a rather short period of time. He is very friendly, organised and takes time to explain everything. I would highly recommend Andy if you need to improve your French, even if you are a beginner!
