Kei Japanese Teacher

Thank you for lesson today! Sensei is always very patient in explaining questions and asks very good leading questions to direct me to the answer. I really appreciate that as it gives me space to think about the reason for the answer. Thank you :D

I would recommend Kei先生 to anyone seeking to learn Japanese. He is a very personable and passionate teacher who deeply cares about his students' goals. I was around beginner N4 level when I first started taking lessons with him and through his lessons, I was encouraged and empowered to go for the N2 JLPT even though there were only 6 months until the December exam (which I took two weeks ago). Although there was plenty of studying between lessons, Kei先生 provided lots of clarifications with grammar, plenty of practice questions for vocabulary, reading comprehension, and listening comprehension, and encouraged me to speak Japanese during our lessons. I wouldn't be where I am now without him. 先生のおかげで、日本語がもっとできるようになりました。今はだれかと日本語で会話できたり、日本語のドラマとかアニメを見ながら台詞をちょっと理解できたりします。この六か月間は大変楽しかったです。ありがとうございました先生。ここからもよろしくお願いいたします。

先生、今日もありがとうございました。Kei sensei is always very patient and casual during lessons. I find his classes very enjoyable as I am able to speak up and learn new grammar points at the same time. He gives (very good) prompts whenever I feel stuck thinking about an example or when I'm trying to understand the nuance of a new grammar I've never seen before. I find that very helpful for my learning.

I was just reminded by sensei that I have been doing lessons with him for maybe about 3months? I feel like I definitely needed the extra practice and external pressure (to study/revise) in order to keep my studying pace. It used to be easier to be disciplined as a student as I had more time to self-study but as an adult, it's hard to study every night until late at night. I feel more confident answering JLPT related questions and *probably* have faced about 80% of question patterns with sensei. Studying on my own now feels lighter as I'm more confident, compared to the past two years when I studied by myself. Thank you sensei for always being so encouraging during lessons, I look forward to a new reading passage every week HAHA.
