Hello, everyone! My name is Janelle, and I was born and raised in the Philippines. I have had the privilege of working with students of all ages from various corners of the world for many years. I've taught IELTS, General English, Business English, and ESL Kids. I have obtained international teaching certificates such as TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), and I am equipped with the necessary knowledge and techniques to create engaging and effective online learning environments.我的教學經歷
I take my lead from students and work at their pace. I will then work with my students to help them enhance their language skills. I also give further advice on how to continue to improve.我的課程內容與教學風格
I can teach my students slang expressions to let them sound like native speakers. I also offer conversational, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary classes. I always make sure that my class will always be student-centered. I love to hear my student's stories and experiences. I am always willing to give concrete support if my students have difficulties. Janelle is an excellent Tagalog teacher, I have learnt so much in my lessons with her and am now able to follow Tagalog conversations in day-to-day life. Learning a new language can be very daunting but Janelle makes the learning experience so fun and relaxed and really helps with my confidence in the language. Teacher Janelle helped me a lot with my preparation for the IELTS test. I got an overall 8 (speaking 8, writing 7) in the end after taking several classes with her.
Janelle took notes when I spoke and gave me constructive feedback on how to restructure my sentences to sound more formal, reminding me of my grammar and vocabulary errors. She also provided me with tons of learning and practicing materials, such as mock tests and helpful test prep websites.
During the writing sessions, she taught me the core principles of IELTS writing, the pitfalls we often face, the examination criteria, etc. It helps me to gain more confidence in my writing and know the directions I can improve.
Overall, I love all the classes I have, they were always lively and she encouraged me a lot. Highly recommend teacher Janelle if you're looking for an IELTS tutor!
