Hello! I'm Tapas, a native Bengali and Hindi speaker with English as my second language. I was born and brought up in Kolkata, the cultural heart of India. I hold a master's degree in computer science and a bachelor's in physics. While Kolkata will always be home, for the past year, I’ve been living in Bangalore for my work as a software developer. But beyond coding, my true passion lies in teaching and connecting with people through language.
I believe language is more than just words—it’s a bridge to new cultures, ideas, and perspectives. With over 2000 hours of teaching experience, I’ve helped learners worldwide break linguistic barriers and gain confidence in real conversations.我的教學經歷
**Since my college days, I have been teaching both kids and adults English, Bengali, Hindi.
**I have experience of over 5 years in teaching students of all ages and levels and my teaching style differs with each.
**I try to get to know each of my students and allow them to know me as much as possible, to create a comfortable and engaging environment where they do not hesitate to ask questions or feel uncomfortable in making errors as it's all a part of learning.
**I believe that to succeed with anything in life, one has to enjoy what they do. This is why I try to make my lessons fun and interactive so that my students feel motivated to continue learning English, Bengali & Hindi.我的課程內容與教學風格
**My lessons focus on building vocabulary, improving pronunciation, mastering basic grammar, and enhancing fluency. I prioritize practical language skills, helping students communicate with confidence and ease.
**To make learning more engaging and effective, I incorporate audio, pictures, and videos, allowing students to experience the language in real-life contexts.
** I provide written materials after each lesson for revision, ensuring students always have access to essential study resources.
**Every student is unique, so I use personalized learning materials tailored to their individual goals—whether long-term or short-term—guiding them toward success at their own pace.我的教材

I like lessons with Mr Topas because he always finds appropriate material as simple reading books (which are excellent for my level), phrases which I can use in everyday dialogues, etc. He is very patient even if I ask one word many times. Having the conversational classed with Tapas for couples of months, my speaking English has improved a lot in fluency. He also gave me advice to enlarge and expand my vocabulary in order to enrich my oral and written English. Now I am able to get into the all English meetings in my workplace and communicate with native speakers. Thanks Tapas help me a lot and I will keep praticing with him to expect more progress.
