Hi! I'm Danielle and I'm from sunny South Africa.🌞 Here is a bit about me:
✨ I'm a proud mom and passionate teacher with a love for languages and cultures!
✨ I'm patient, friendly, fun-loving, open-minded and easy to talk to.
✨ I'm TEFL-certified with 3+ years experience teaching online.
✨ I've taught beginner to advanced students of all ages.
✨ I am currently studying part-time towards a BA degree (English and Psychology).
✨ My home languages are English AND Afrikaans, and my accents are neutral and easy to understand.
✨ On weekends I like to spend time with my daughter (so sadly, I don't teach on weekends).我的教學經歷

⭐ My teaching style is relaxed and comfortable. My main goal is to make you feel confident to express yourself.
⭐ I adapt to each student's unique needs and learning style.
⭐ I provide comprehensive courses or personalized individual lessons.
⭐ Homework is available but optional.
⭐ I prefer to use ZOOM.

🌈 My kids classes are energetic and fun! We sing songs, laugh and play games while encouraging progress and speaking confidence.

This education included all foundation phase topics, such as early mathematics; number, shape and colour recognition; letters, sounds and phonics (English and Afrikaans); early life skills, etc.

Professional TeacherI have been teaching English and Afrikaans here on italki since 2021. I've worked with just over 70 students so far (up to 2024) and taught close to 3000 lessons. My students usually stay with me long-term as I've been working with most of them for 1-2 years up to now. I've taught mostly children and teens (from beginner to upper-intermediate level), but also many adults in Afrikaans, Business English, General English and conversational classes.

Financial Accounting (Incomplete)I studied towards a bachelor’s degree in Financial Accounting for 5 semesters before realising that a career in accounting was not for me, even though I passed every module with distinction. These subjects included Economics, Business Management, Commercial Law, Financial Accounting, Tax, Auditing and Financial Mathematics. I elected to pursue teaching as a primary career instead and focus on my own new business I had just started. I had, however, gained valuable experience in Business English.
