Another awesome lesson with Aki! If you need to improve your Japanese and want to have an incredibly fun time then she’s your go-to teacher for both progressing and enjoying the language journey you’re embarking on!

If you are looking for not only an incredible teacher, but also an incredible human, Aki-sensei is the person you're looking for. I've studied with many teachers on italki, and no one makes me feel more comfortable. She is patient, great at continuing a conversation, an expert at explaining unknown Japanese words/ phrases in Japanese, and most importantly she makes me more passionate about learning the language. My lessons with Aki are primarily conversation practice-based. However, I have provided vocal lists or grammar points that I have struggled with in the past and she was able to explain them and integrate them into our conversation practice. I think if you are seeking conversation practice and to build speaking confidence (like me), Aki is the best teacher for you.

I am really impressed with how intuitive Aki-san is- she always picks up on the things that I'm struggling with, even if I don't realize what they are. Then she knows exactly what to do to help me improve. Additionally, she does all this while still having a fun and engaging conversation! ありがとうございました！また次のレッスンを楽しみにしています！

Really fun lesson with Aki talking about putting bands on birds for scientific research, how fragile birds are, and areas in the world that have only wildlife and no human civilization. Such a fun lesson with Aki learning new vocabulary, information about areas in Japan with wildlife, and having a really great conversation!

Great lesson talking about apartments in NY vs Tokyo, living in small apartments, having debt and living paycheck to paycheck, and how large the inequality gap is these days. I had such a fun lesson with Aki learning new vocabulary and comparing life experiences!

Really fun and engaging lesson talking to Aki about banding birds for scientific research and how interesting birds can be to study! She gave really detailed notes and explanations and the lesson was so fun it flew by so quickly!
