Hi there! I'm Amanda, a certified Teacher of English as a Foreign Language (TESOL) from Illinois, United States. I specialize in teaching English to children and am passionate about fostering a love for language learning in young minds around the world. Living and traveling abroad has allowed me to learn a second and third language while immersing myself in diverse cultures. These experiences enrich my teaching with a global perspective, helping me connect with students and families from all backgrounds.Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, playing with my dogs, or reading a good book. With over 7 years of experience specializing in teaching English to children, I’ve taught more than 1,000 students from diverse backgrounds. As a trilingual teacher, I understand the challenges of learning a new language. My lessons are tailored to each child’s needs, focusing on building confidence, improving fluency, and fostering a love for learning. I create a fun, supportive environment where kids feel safe to express themselves. In my lessons, I focus on creating a fun, supportive, and engaging environment where children feel confident using English. I adapt my teaching to each child’s needs, helping them improve fluency, vocabulary, and pronunciation through interactive games, songs, and real-life conversations. My goal is to make learning enjoyable while ensuring measurable progress. I emphasize patience, encouragement, and a growth mindset, where mistakes are seen as part of learning. I provide regular feedback and ensure parents are informed of their child’s achievements.
Lessons are for children only (ages 4-15)
Lesson lengths are 25, 40, or 55 minutes.

Early Childhood Education Level 1 - Illinois Professional Development System - 2023The ECE Level 1 credential through Gateways to Opportunities signifies that I have achieved a foundational level of competence in the field of Early Childhood Education. This program covers early childhood education theories, best practices, and practical teaching strategies. Online English as a Second Language TeacherAs a VIPKID teacher, I taught over 730 Chinese students in more than 2,440 classes.
