Hi! I'm Khaila, an Arabic language teacher and a visual artist from Palestine currently living in Turkey. Have worked in education and scientific research for over 4 years, chiefly specializing in relationships between fine art, literature, and history and this is my second year working on Italki as an Arabic teacher.
I am interested in learning languages, so I get to know about different cultures and I express that knowledge through my paintings. I also like dancing, reading, and watching movies.
As for other hobbies, I am interested in physical activities such as hiking. With hiking, I have had the opportunity to develop my photography of natural scenes.我的教學經歷
Since my graduation, I have been working in teaching where I taught the Arabic language- the Palestinian and Jordanian accent (Levantine dialect) in terms of general conversation, grammar, literature, morphology, writing, listening, Arabic slangs, writing proofreading and Quran for non-Arabic speakers and for native speakers as well.
I taught students from various backgrounds, ages, and levels and from private lessons to classrooms so that I can work with any level.我的課程內容與教學風格
My lessons are tailored around what a student wants and needs. My main focus is to help them relax and speak through friendly conversation as well as any subject they enjoy and any skill they want to improve.我的教材

Today we went over reading! It was definitely intense, but Khaila was extremely patient and encouraging as always. She also asked questions along the way to reinforce previous material. Great class!

I've learned a lot (of Palestinian colloquial Arabic) from Khaila in just 10 lessons! I can do basic sentences, basic verbs and adjectives, subject and possessive pronouns and have learned some medical vocabulary for my work. It's a lot to assimilate and I haven't been able to study outside of class as much as I'd like recently, but Khaila is always very patient and helps keep me moving forward. Definitely look forward to more lessons and would recommend her as a teacher!
