Hello! I am a native English speaker from the United States, Texas. I moved to Japan about 3.5 years ago, so I am able to speak intermediate Japanese. I graduated college recently and studied International Business. I have always been interested in languages, but Japanese has always been my favorite language to learn, and now I am here in Japan!
我的教學經歷
Firstly, you don't need to worry about making mistakes with me! Making mistakes is one of the quickest and best ways to improve your English skill! I am still studying Japanese, so I understand how it feels to learn another language. Lessons with me will be casual and stress-free!
I have 3000+ hours of experience in helping others improve their English speaking and listening skills through my English conversation lessons. TESOL certified.

Thanks a million, Avery.
I just came home late from work. Her lesson made me relax. As always, we talked a lot of topics one after another.
todays topics are as listed below:
1. Restructuring the organization made my workload increase.
Restructuring means hire and fire staff
2.Pollen allergy makes Avery wear a pair of glasses
3.One day contacts vs long use contacts
4.How to call pajamas or pj
it's up to people.
5.In my case, wearing a pair of glasses makes my shoulders stiff. it's like looking into microscope.
6.Moral code (my rule) vs moral(belief)
7.Avery likes wearing a strong manly perfume and has a confidence. that's her moral code and philosophy.
8.boumdaries between be myself (not lose myself) vs not disturbing others
9.Why Japanese speak in a small voice when saying Can I get by? on trains
10.shit talker English NG words
at workplace is not acceptable and professional.
11. Oh man, what a bummer
damn it how to use
12.Looking close at PC isn't good.
I'm over the moon.

She's very positive.
Her words humidity makes her skin look good. I like that.
In Japan, temperature is around 24 Celsius. As always, she and I talked a lot from one topic to another.
1.Beautician vs hair stylist
which word do you use?
My English book says beautician while her speaking habit is hair stylist. I'll use hair stylist next time.
2.Shibuya one of tourist spots.
sky scraper, cherry blossoms viewing, hello kitty store
Many tourists from western countries
3.burn out means mentally tired
4.worn out means physically tired
5.balance me time with other stuff
She'll go to gym and study Japanese. She is very studious.
6.watching movies in one sitting like 2hrs is not her thing.
7.time slot, time window, time block we discussed the difference.
8.Workaholic is happy?
Work comes first and life comes next.
9.Mulitasker or zero in on one thing and move to next
our answers are the latter.
We said, time flies when having fun. super fun.
ps."swamped" means schedule is fully booked.

Avery is my part of life.
She and I talked a lot a lot.
One topic after another as follows:
1.TGIF
2.TGI Friday when is the last time she went? TGI Friday in Japan is very pricey.
3.Cherry blossoms viewing
she's going to enjoy this Tuesday
4.does she say I reckon instead of i think
She does. Americans in the south say so, while my friend in CA does not say.
5. American lobster vs spiny lobster
6.Out of the blue
is common and she uses
7.The number of her students has increased, around 50(regular students)
8.Its tricky for her to handle double booking.
9.Shes super busy every weekend and her schedule is kind of wonky, unpredictable sometimes. I'm flexible to change my lesson when needed.
9.Review for each lesson is not obligatory but it's useful for me to go over.
