My name is Olga or Helga and I am here to teach Bulgarian, Dutch, Swedish and Norwegian. I am open-minded, creative and communicative. These skills help me teaching in an amusing and interesting manner.

I find learning languages quite fun and if you share any of my passions, then we can make the learning process equally fun for both of us. Just like how eyes are the window to the soul; language is the window to the soul of a nation. I'm a native Bulgarian speaker, proficient in English and French. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Scandinavian studies with a minor in Dutch, and I have a conversational level in Spanish and Russian. In my free time, I volunteer in a non-profit organization called ESN, where I help Erasmus students have an unforgettable semester in Bulgaria! My other interests include traveling, culture, fitness, nutrition, history, geography, and geopolitics. Oh, and I love Eurovision! And I have a cute cat.

In teaching both French and Bulgarian, my main goal is to show you that learning can be an enjoyable and interesting process that is not necessarily difficult. According to your needs, I direct my work process so that you have development in the shortest possible time. I will introduce you not only to spelling and grammar, but especially to culture,evolution, origin, application in everyday life, literature and everything you will need to immerse yourself in the language. As a PhD student in Bulgarian literature, I am interested in Bulgarian literature and cinema from the period of Socialism (1944-1989) and I believe that these topics would help my students not only in learning the language itself, but also in getting to know Bulgaria, its history and culture. I am patient and consistent in my work so it would be a pleasure to teach Bulgarian language even to complete beginners.

Más de 17 años de experiencia I never thought that teaching could be the right job for me, but - here I am - seventeen years and around a thousand of students later. At some point, I realised that teaching had become a passion. My professional experience before italki was focused mainly on exam preparation both in English (e.g. Cambridge, Trinity) and German (Goethe Institut, telc) and included - apart from the usual group and individual, intensive and regular courses - level-testing and organising mock exams. For several years, I also worked as an English examiner and corrector at one of the universities in Spain. I hold a C2 Certificate in Spanish (DELE).

An interpreting major, speaking 5 languages, overjoyed to guide you on your language journey! 🥳 Teaching my students and friends how to speak languages has been something that naturally occurred from a young age. My friends' parents would have their kids practice English with me and once I went to university, I started teaching Italian and Bulgarian privately. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing your students improve on their speaking and grasp more and more with each lesson. Masters degree of English and Bulgarian language, over 10 years of teaching experience I have a master degree of English language and Bulgarian language and many years of teaching experience, both online and in school, mainly teaching English to Bulgarian and Asian students of different ages. I do also have experience teaching Bulgarian to foreigners. My practice as a Bulgarian teacher has started in 2016 and since then I've helped a lot of people to learn and practice the language.
