As someone who is bilingual (and at one point, trilingual^^) and had to learn 2 different foreign languages at an older age, I understand how challenging language learning can be. Certified Korean teacher with a Master's degree in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language During my third semester of graduate school, I had the opportunity to meet foreign language learners for the first time while participating in a Korean language teaching practicum. Although it was just a practicum, I was able to teach Korean based on the lesson plans I had created, presenting vocabulary and grammar to the students. Later, as I was working on my thesis in my fifth semester, I applied for a graduate student tutor position for a summer Korean language program at Georgia Tech in the United States. I was assigned two beginner-level students and primarily taught speaking classes. The experience was both rewarding and motivating.

Years of learning, but still was not able to hold a conversation. I found it hard to learn languages through random grammar or irrelevant vocabularies. How much does it serve when you actually talk to people? Learning a language is about making personal connection. That’s what I realised when I nearly got my passport stolen while traveling Egypt. It made me speak, initiate and argue. I cared nothing but the conversation to deal with it. From then, I completely changed the way I learn. I'd like you to have the same attitude, like an angry backpacker.

Learning a language is like having another version of yourself. Ready for an upgrade? Attendance Policy, and Criteria No-show, No Refund: If a student doesn't show up on time without prior notice, I can wait for 20 minutes. After this, it will be considered a no-show, and the lesson fee will be fully charged. In the case of my no-show, the credit will be returned, and the next lesson will be free of charge. Rescheduling: Rescheduling through the italki system is always OK. You don't need to ask me. Cancellation: If you want to cancel the lesson at least 3 hours before the class time, I'll accept it. However, if the request is sent within 3 hours before the lesson time, half of the lesson fee will be charged. Age Restriction: I do not teach children or students under 18.
