I would say these languages are all the same with small regional differences and it is a kind of political issue that we all call it differently. I know that many people prefer native speakers, but it can sometimes be tricky. The native speakers are good teachers only if they are foreign langauge teachers, believe me. Then, I started teaching serbian for foreigners in France. It's a real challenge to find a method to explain your own language to foreigners.
