At 38, I packed up and moved back to my hometown: São Paulo. I missed the sushi so much. All this is to say there’s no such thing as being too old, too shy, too weird, or not cut out to learn. With grit and discipline, you can learn anything. My lessons are almost entirely interactive and focused on getting you to use the language somehow, not on me talking for an hour. In 2015 I started teaching online through a Russian agency that allowed me to change the way in which I taught my private lessons. I already have 3 years of experience teaching online, but only with Russian students.
