Today I had classes from the third period to the fourth period. Both were English classes; the third period was a presentation, and the fourth period was a test. My test results were okay. After school, I have to go to the hospital. When I get home, I’ll work on the presentation for the fourth period tomorrow.

I had presentation today and I made an effort to speak without watching script. There were tests in today’s all class, so I’m very tired. I want to go home soon. But there is more class only today. How to order like a local in Japan🇯🇵 When you are at a cafe or restaurant, you don't need long sentences！ "~ o onegaishimasu." (〜をおねがいします / [Item name] please.) Example: "Kohi o onegaishimasu." What is the schwa sound? There's a sound in English that has its own name: schwa, written /ə/. It's the quick, colourless "uh" that unstressed syllables collapse into — the most common sound in English, and almost always invisible on the page. photograph /ˈfoʊtəɡræf/ vs photography /fəˈtɒɡrəfi/ — the stress moves, and that first syllable's full vowel collapses to schwa the moment it's no longer stressed. Same thing happens mid-sentence, not just in single words: "She's a musician in an orchestra." — not "shun," but "shən"
 You'll also hear it at the end of everyday words like teacher, learner, helper — never a strong "er," always something softer and shorter. 💬 Say "photograph" and "photography" out loud, back to back. Can you feel the stress jump — and the vowel go soft?
