In Spanish we always use ‘estar’ for location, right? Right?! 🧐 But, what if I told you: “la fiesta es en mi casa”, or “el concierto es en un teatro”??? What’s going on here? 🤔 Well, ‘estar’ indicates the location of people, objects or places (it’s like a physical presence), while ‘ser’ indicates the location of events (cause events are abstract). Examples: - El libro ESTÁ en la mesa. 📖 - ESTOY en casa. 🏠 - La conferencia ES en el auditorio. 🎙️ - El concierto ES en el estadio. 👩‍🎤 Conclusion: ‘estar' is often translated as ‘is located’, and ‘ser’ in this context would translate to ‘takes place’ or ‘is held’. 😊👍
