Tandem
Another great place to start connecting with fellow language learners is on Tandem. Here you can find a language exchange partner close to you, find out their interests, what they are looking for in a language exchange partner, and learn a little about other students looking for language partners.
Hellotalk
Looking for a language exchange app that you can use on the go? On Hellotalk you can chat with your language partner using text and audio messages. You can send an invite to native speakers of your target language and start learning in minutes. There are also a lot of different tools you find to help you write and speak more clearly too!
Speaky
Another great place to start exchanging your language is Speaky. You can sign up for this app quickly and easily, and then go ‘live’ to find conversation partners in just a few minutes! You can also find friends and look at profiles of potential language partners and best of all, it’s completely Free!
Mylanguageexchange
They sometimes say that if it’s not broken, then don’t fix it. This is true of Mylanguageexchange. I remember using this website way back in 2011 to find a Korean language partner and was able to find 2 or 3 suitable partners in just a few days. If you are looking for a well-known site with lots of active users, then this site could be a good option.
Conversation Exchange
The advantage of this site is that you can choose multiple different options for arranging your language exchange, either face to face, live language exchange lessons via skype, or through old-fashioned letter writing. Another feature is that you can set your own language level to help you match with a suitable partner and take a language test to assess your ability.
The Mixxer
This is a slightly different language exchange platform than the others mentioned so far. You can post content in the language you want to learn, and get these correct by other students, you can also live chat with other users and arrange to chat with conversation partners through Skype if you wish.
Easy Language Exchange
Another great free option to help you find your ideal language, exchange partner. Easy Language exchange has over 100,000 users and allows you to simply search and match with a student who speaks the language you want to learn. You can then reach out and chat with them instantly, while also completing free lessons and tests.
Papora
Papora is another great resource for learning a language and you can do much more than message students who you wish to set up an exchange. There’s a writing section where you can post your questions and responses in your target language and receive feedback. There’s also a groups option where you can easily network and set up exchanges with others.
Lingoglobe
The main advantage that Lingoglobe has over some of the other language learning platforms is that users cannot contact you until you agree to the language exchange. Also, the search function is extremely easy to use and allows you to set up a language exchange with as little as one click!
