Today I will read out an article that I came across and found very interesting. Its an article by Chiara Leone-Ganado. It discusses three studies that show that we are less willing to help others when we do not get good sleep. I always talk about how sleep is connected to all aspects of health and wellness but who knew it could affect our sense of generosity?

こんばんは！Atsushiです。
今日の天気は晴れ。
気温は13℃です。

ここ最近、慣用句シリーズを続けていたので、今回は他のトピックを話そうと思います。

日本もようやく個人旅行客などの入国が緩和されましたね！
ですので、北海道のオススメの旅行先について話します。
今日は登別温泉、というところです。

先日、奥さんが休みだったので、登別温泉に行ってきました。


登別温泉は自然に温泉が湧き出ている場所です。1分に3,000リットルも！湧き出ているそうです。すごいですよね。登別の地名の語源はアイヌ語で（白く濁った川・色の濃い川）を意味するといわれ、 古くから豊富に温泉が湧き出していました。そして1857年には温泉宿が建てられ、発展していきました。

そして、地獄谷というところがあってここが登別温泉の中で1番温泉が湧き出している場所です。なぜ地獄谷というかというと、景色がこの世のものとは思えないような景色だからです。まさに地獄のような場所、ということですね。それもあって、地獄谷には鬼の像がいくつかあります。ちょっと怖かったです。子供は泣きそうな気がします。

そして、少し歩くと、湧き出しているお湯が川のように流れているところがあります。ここでは、足湯といって、足だけ温泉につかるところがあります。

この足湯に浸かってきました。
温泉ほど熱くはなかったですが、あたたかくて気持ち良かったです。

日帰りでしたが、久しぶりにちょっと旅行のような時間をすごせたので、良かったです。

これから日本に旅行で来られる方も多くなると思いますので、時々、北海道の観光地について話しますね！
