Typhoon Yagi has come and gone now, but in its path it left lingering floods that did more damage than the storm itself. By now, the rain and the flooding have diminished. I hope this favorable trend continues until the water is gone and the people are safe. We have storms here too. So far this year, we have been lucky. We had one big one, Hurricane Debby [note: we say "Hurricane Debby", not "The Hurricane Debby"]. Near where I live we had flooding, but no big winds.

The typhoon Yagi came and went. It left behind severe floods which is much worse than the storm in regards to the loss it caused. The rain is less heavier and the flood is lower now. I hope it will lessen until the flood is gone so the people can be safe.
