I go shopping for clothes every other month. Neither of my sons plays football. Nor do I. Here are some practice examples: "Neither son plays" (because "neither" takes the singular) "Neither of my sons plays" (because "neither" takes the singular) "Each of my sons plays" (behaves similarly) "Neither my sons nor I play..." (because "I" is the subject nearest to the verb) "Neither my son nor I play..." (because "I" is the subject nearest to the verb) "Neither I nor my son plays..." (because "son" is the subject nearest to the verb) "Neither we nor my son plays..." (because "son" is the subject nearest to the verb) "Neither of my sons nor I play..." (because "I" is the subject nearest to the verb) "Neither of my sons plays. Nor do I" "Neither son of mine, nor I, play" (because "I" is the subject nearest to the verb)
