Maybe they think that everything in human must be beautiful, not only brains but and outside style in clothes.

The short answer is that it's faster and time is short. Most people are already cluttered by so much information, so they take shortcuts in how they think and prejudge.

Just like you wouldn't buy something after seeing an ad once, so we wouldn't befriend someone and get to know one's inner qualities after only one sight. We need exposure :)

I think it is because there are a lot of stereotypes, for example if you have a tatoo tattoo many people could think bad things badly about you, even if you are the best person in the world, they are going to prejudge you. I think the stereotypes has have been reinforced with ads (advertising), for example if you wear some kind of t-shirt it mean means you are some kind of person even if you don´t care about it.
