What means "get to it"?

Hi everyone,

Please, could you help me about the expression "get to it".

I've seen this expression after an employeer ends to pass instructions to another employeer.

Like Susan said.

Good job, André, providing context, or it would've been impossible to answer. Note that the main stress is on the word "to" in this context. If we stress the word "get," the meaning is much less urgent.

Correction: We don't say "after an employeer ends to pass instructions" -- we say "after an employer finishes passing on (or do you mean "giving"?) instructions."

It means to start working on these instructions right now.

Thank Susan and Phil. Great information. :)

I note the stress more on the word "get" according to my context.

My idea was really to inform "giving" or even "providing" in this sentence.

Also actually, I mean employee. I understood the difference between employee and employer.

Keep up the good work, André!
