Being an English speaking mother for English speaking kids Being a mother is not an easy job but being an English speaking mother is a tougher job since English is not my mother tongue. When you start learning a foreign language how much you have to spend on it. For myself I had spent more than 800 baht per month for 5 years just to speak English and above 100,000 baht to go abroad for the English intensive course in Malaysia. What I got from this is just to communicate in English not to be expert on it. The problem of Thais in learning English is that we don't have an English environment in our daily life especially in the countryside. So, I think why I have to spend that much money for my kids to learn English but have no any places for them to use it. Whom they will use the most of the time with if not me, therefore myself can be their English environments. But it is not what I have thought, being a mother you have to be any roles for your kids such as a friend, teacher, angel or even a monster, every emotion in every day. My English vocabularies are limited so it is quite difficult to express every emotion in English. It does not appreciate if compare with Thai language. Because of this, I cannot stop improving English but learning it whenever I have a chance, just because of being an English speaking mother for my English speaking kids.

What I got from this is just to communicate in English, not to be expert on in it. The problem of for Thais in learning English is that we don't have an English environment in our daily life, especially in the countryside. So, I think wonder why I have to spent that much money for my kids to learn English but have no any places for them to use it. Whom [in modern English we just use "who"] they will use it with the most of the time with if not with me?

Therefore, myself can be I am their English environments. But it is not what I have thought; being a mother you have to be play many roles for your kids such as a friend, teacher, angel or even a monster, every emotion, in every day. My English vocabulary are is limited so it is quite difficult to express every emotion in English. It does not appreciate if compare with the Thai language.
