Ima watashi wa nihongo o benkyo shimasu Hi, I'm moving to Japan at the end of March, so I am now learning Japanese as well. Here is my first attempt: Kyo wa ichi gatsu ni jyu shichi nichi desu Konnichiwa. Ogenki desu ka? Watashi no namae wa Simon desu. Igirisujin desu. San gatsu ni watashi wa eigo no sensei desu. Spotsu, eiga to ongaku suki desu. I have already learnt the hiragana and katakana alphabets, but I have not yet explored how to type Japanese characters on my computer. I'm sure it's not too difficult, but if anyone knows how to do it, I would appreciate a quick guide. Also, I have seen several variations of writing Japanese words in Romaji, so any other suggestions are very welcome. Arigato gozaimasu!!

Ima watashi wa nihongo o benkyou shiteimasu

Hi, I'm moving to Japan at the end of March, so I am now learning Japanese as well. Here is my first attempt:

Kyo wa ichi gatsu ni jyu shichi nichi desu
Konnichiwa. Ogenki desu ka? Watashi no namae wa Simon desu. Igirisujin desu. San gatsu ni watashi wa eigo no sensei desu. Spotsu to eiga to ongaku ga suki desu.

Arigatou gozaimasu!!

watashi wa nihongo o benkyo shimasu ->[present tense] =do

                                      *SHITE IMASU ->[present participle] =be doing

                                       (shite=doing, imasu=be)

*difference using preposition

- watashi wa nihongo o benkyo shiteimasu.

             = I'm studying Japanese. (benkyo shite imasu= be studying[verb])

- watashi wa nihongo no benkyo o shiteimasu.

             = I'm doing study of Japanese.  (shite imasu=be doing

                                                            benkyo=study[noun],  no=of)

Kyo wa ichi gatsu ni jyu shichi nichi desu
Konnichiwa. Ogenki desu ka? Watashi no namae wa Simon desu. Igirisujin desu. San gatsu ni watashi wa eigo no sensei desu. ->[present tense] *NI NARIMASU ->[preposision + future tense]

Spotsu, eiga to ongaku GA suki desu. ->[preposision]
Spotsu, eiga to ongaku GA suki desu. -> suki=like  *can change "SHUMI"=hobby

keep it good work!
