Do you keep busy or relax on the weekend?
I think nobody really wants to stay busy after a long week of work. Most of us like to sleep in on Saturday mornings, but often end up getting up as usual because of chores, preparing breakfast, or handling other endless tasks until lunchtime. After making lunch and doing the dishes, children might ask to go out for some fun. When dinnertime approaches, we often feel tired from deciding what to eat. By the time the kids fall asleep around 11 p.m., we're completely exhausted.
But that's not my real life!
On weekends, I wake up at my usual time. My children don’t sleep in either; instead, they help me with the chores. We spend about an hour cleaning the house together. Then, we do the grocery shopping and prepare meals as a team. After lunch, the kids finish their homework. Later, we enjoy some fun sports in the park, running around until we’re sweaty and happy.
When we get home, we feel relaxed. After a big, delicious dinner, we spend time reading, singing, or dancing together until we’re tired. Then, we go to bed feeling happy and content. That’s my idea of a perfect weekend!
