I quote a 'quote' inside another quote. Do I use quotation marks correctly? "We wanted to demonstrate that the virus is not something good, but it is beautiful and symmetrical. The picture should say to anybody who sees it, 'I am a dangerous virus, remember me well because we will spend together the next 100 years.'"

I do NOT say that I am right, but I think that the three ''' at the end of your sentence should be (and would certainly look better) if it were ' " as in "He said, 'I love you.' " P.S. In American English, that's where the period (full stop) goes, but I hear that in British English, it would be placed somewhere else.
