Could someone, please, correct my short text bellow? Thanks.
Improving one's accent it is a long pathway. At first you should ask yourself what accent you want to have. American accent, british accent, australian accent, other accent? American or British from which region or City? New York, Dallas, London or another british accent? Be aware that some Cities (London, for example) have more than an accent.
If you already know the accent you want to have start to listen to radio programs, podcasts, regional TV channels and talk as much as you can to people that have the accent you want to acquire. If possible go to the place where there is the accent you want to speak. If you really want to change your accent, wait, wait and wait because the change is not too fast, unless you are a child. Children can change their accent quicker.
Personally, I don't much care about accent. Communicating clearly is my goal when I am learning a new language.
