advert dialogue I wondered if someone could write the words of the dialogue between Scarlett Johansson and Mathew in the advert Streets of dreams ,Dolce and Gabanna. At least the first and last words of the advert. Why is it so difficult to understand? Thankyou ever so much

From: http://www.popisms.com/TelevisionCommercial/84180/Dolce-and-Gabbana-Commercial-for-Dolce-and-Gabban.aspx This page also has a transcript (search for [MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY: Sorry.]): http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1311/06/sbt.01.html Don't know if this is the official transcription. I've made a few changes, additions and comments in square brackets. __________ Sorry... [We, uh...] Sorry I'm late. Couldn't be helped. Got here as fast as you could. [CNN transcript says 'Ran late'] How much time do you have? Car to the airport picks me up at 8. [CNN transcript says 'picking'] London? Sydney. Ah, well, we got time to do this once. [Instead of 'we', I think I hear 'I only', but not very clearly] Nice car. Is it yours? Nah, it's a loner. Thought it fit the role. I like your dress. It likes you back. I think I saw it in a magazine. You looked happy. On a gondola? No, outside a cathedral. ['Nah'] I was acting. Is this where you live? ['This is where you live?'] No, this is where you tell me to get lost. On the roof. I miss this city. Even when I'm here I miss it. It's always changing. Yeah, like this building. It used to be over there. You always this serious? Only before a love scene. Yeah, we didn't need anything back then. We needed everything back then. But if we could go back, would we? If we did, could we make it stick? [Right,] We should go back. Yes, we should. You see, that's all you need to say. [I just hear 'See'] Dolce & Gabbana. The One. __________ I can see why you're finding parts of it quite hard to understand – some of the speech isn't that clear even for a native English speaker (I speak British English).

Please note that 'advert' is one of about 37 words that are unique to British English and often cause those in the USA to run to the dictionary.
