"I'm glad I met you." ("I was glas" would implicate that you were glad in the past but are not glad about it right now.) Alternatively: I'm glad I have met you. (has more of a "parting" feeling)

It totally depends on the situation. If you are just meeting the person, as you see them and shake hands you can say: "It is wonderful to meet you!" or "I am so glad to meet you!" or "I am so glad to be able to meet you!" or "It is so wonderful to see you!". But if it is at the end of the meeting and it was the very first meeting - you have never seen this person before, when you are about to say good-bye then you can say: "It was wonderful to meet you!" or "It was so nice to be able to meet you!". On the other hand if you are about to say goodbye but you already knew this person from before, you would say: "It was great to see you!" or if it was a scheduled meeting: "It was a pleasure to meet with you again!" or if it was not scheduled but you don't know this person very well "It was wonderful to meet you / see you again!" However in the case that it is a friend or a person that you know fairly well and you want to tell them that you are happy to know them, you are happy about your relationship with them, you can say: "I am so glad to know you!" or "I am so glad to have met you!"
