Hi, Nikita. I've answered questions quite similar to yours several times. I'd like to tell you how Chinese people say big positive integers. Simply put, Chinese people say big numbers in 万 (ten thousand), while people speaking European languages tend to say them in 千(thousand). That is, A big number is put in west languages as how many thousands there are in it whereas in Chinese how many WANs ( ten thousand). So there are different formulae: English: ....... [ ] hunderd [ ] ten [ ] unit (i.e. one) ....... Chinese: ...... [ ] thousand [ ] hunderd [ ] ten [ ] unit (i.e. one) ....... Example: 11 111 111 111 111 111 It is said in English as ' eleven quadrillion ( 10^3 ^5) one hundred and eleven trilillion (10^3 ^4) one hundred and eleven billion (10^3 ^3) one hundred and eleven million (10^3 ^2) one hundred and eleven thousand (10^3 ^1) one hundre and eleven (10^3 ^0) and in Chinese as: (1111 1111 1111 1111) 一千一百(一)十一 万亿 一千一百一十一 亿 一千一百一十一 万 一千一百一十一 Counting numbers bigger than 万亿 that may be used in Chinese are : 亿亿 (=万万亿),万亿亿 (= 万万万亿). Even bigger counting numbers are rarely used, because the speaker has big trouble to say it rightly and the listenner has the same trouble to make clear what the hell the number is: in this case people use scientific notation: 1.111111111111111 × 10^15 ( read as 一点一一一......一一一 乘以 十的 十五次方). So, 397,80 millions = 三百九十七亿八千万 = 【 397.80 亿 (三百九十七点八零亿)】, 74,2 millions = 七千四百二十万 That said, in charts or tables, notations as 十一点一千 are possible. I hope this helps.
