Your question has got Luiz thrown.
It is like you are poised, and that you think you understand things, and then a question throws you.
We made our plans, and then they were thrown out the window.
To 'throw' or to 'be thrown' means, like in my examples above; it means that your stance, your understanding was disturbed, was upset, or was 'thrown' or removed from what you had. You had an understanding, and it was destroyed. You had a stance/ a way of looking at something, and then that situation was 'thrown away' or destroyed by a new situation/question/answer. Your question had Luiz thrown. The interviewee's answer had the interviewer thrown, so much that she didn't know what to think. etc.
