It is normal to use the present simple tense for a fixed or scheduled event in the future.
If you look up 'future tenses' in any grammar book, you'll find out about the four main ways we talk about the future (will, going to, present continuous and present simple). People sometimes refer to the present simple future form as the 'timetable' form because that's how we talk about future events which are part of a schedule. A classic example is 'My flight leaves at 10 am tomorrow'.
