Is there in Chinese a pure definite article like English « the » ? Chinese "zhè" and "nà" are usually translated as "this" and "that". Is there in Chinese a "pure definite article" like Modern English "the", Spanish "el, la", French "le", "la", etc? Thank you!

Hello Luis, I am not sure, but I think using 'zhe' means 'the 'as well in Chinese: 这个 Zhe ge nanren The man Zhege nanren This man 一个 Indefinitely you can use 'yi' ,which means 'a' in English. Yi ge nanren A man I appreciate corrections and explanations from native Chinese speakers.
