Megumi's right on both counts! "エヤド" = "e-ya-do" One uses katakana for foreign words, including names, is that correct? Naturally the pronunciation will change between languages, and it will be transliterated accordingly. Your name will be written down after a comfortable pronunciation is found. No problem here, there is always a way. ^^ Eg. "David" is re-pronounced "deibiddo"(Japanese), "deibideu" (Korean), "da wei" (Chinese), or "dae wit"(Thai). I'm also guessing "Eyad" is the closest approximation to Roman characters, from Arabic script? :)

Eyad ? Sorry, your name does not follow the Japanese pattern, you cann't write it in Japanese In Japanese, the pronounciation must consist of consonent and vowel. For example: Yagachi ( my Japanese name) Y+a, g+a and Ch+i prononounce ya-ga-chi. Your name "Eyad" can not be pronounced, so it can not be written. If insist, you may call yourself エヤ @ Meguni Thanks, I missed the "D"

Well... You could translate it for meaning, or for pronunciation... I'm not exactly sure how to pronounce "Eyad".. (And, I found several different pronunciations on the internet....) So, if you could add pronunciation, I'd love to give you the phonetic translation of your name (in katakana). ^-^ I used some baby naming sites, and "Eyad" seems to mean "Strength", "power", etc.... So, you could write it for meaning with "強力" (kyouryoku). (But, I don't think it would be pronounced "kyouryoku".... You would probably add (katakana) furigana to the kanji....) Well, Wozitoya, it could be "エヤド" or "エヤデ" with a "whispered" final vowel..... (assuming the rest of the pronunciation is correct for "Eyad"... ^-^*)
