Taka∞

Today marked my 100th lesson with Taka! 100 lessons, 100 (ish) weeks, two years of learning. I've come a long way in my Japanese learning journey, from barely reading kana to (hopefully) passing the JLPT N1 in 2024. Much of my success is thanks to Taka. Language learning is not the result of some secret gene or technique; it is the result of consistency, patience, and learning from your mistakes. Taka makes all three of those pillars easy! Consistency is trivial when the teacher can make teaching fun, casual, and engaging. I wouldn't keep coming back without a reason to! Taka shows incredible patience in teaching and conversing, letting mistakes happen and explaining what went wrong, rather than rolling his eyes or growing annoyed. Finally, as last said, Taka lets the mistakes happen so the student can recognize, reflect, and remedy those mistakes. A great way to bring in the new year and christen the next 100 lessons I say!

I've been studying 5 days a week for the past few months with Taka-sensei. Every lesson we have fun and interesting conversations during which Taka-sensei teaches me how to express myself naturally. In my opinion Taka-sensei has an outstanding talent for leading a conversation and coming up with interesting topics to talk about, as well as leading his students to come up with interesting things to talk about. Even after a hundred lessons we are not running out of things to talk about and I can continue to improve my speaking skills while having nice conversations. Taka-sensei is an open-minded guy with an international mindset, so you can feel free to talk about anything that comes to mind or that you take an interest in and feel like sharing. During my time in Japan he recommended me a lot of interesting places to go and foods to try, so if your traveling to Japan, try to talk to him about the things your interested in. Taka-sensiこれからもよろしくお願いします。

This is my third or fourth lesson I believe I've taken from Taka-sensei, but I have to admit, he is a wonderful teacher. He is very thoughtful, sensitive and gives his full attention to the student which is a rare quality. I also love that when he corrects/gives feedback, he does so at the appropriate time and does so in a kind, teacher-like way, so you get a lot of feedback and improvement at the same time while you don't start feeling nervous about making mistakes. It's a very hard line to walk, and he does it excellently. In addition, he has a very natural / authentic / low stress vibe to his classes, and I'm very thankful for that. タカ先生 is honestly the best. He is so easy to talk to and it makes every lesson just fly by. I've been doing 5 lessons a week with Taka for some time now and it makes Japanese learning feel so natural. I've learned a ton of actual conversational Japanese rather than what I learned from reading textbooks like Genki. Can't say enough good things, its just an all around good experience. Fully plan on continuing the rest of my Japanese journey with Taka. 相変わらずありがとうございます。来週の授業を楽しみにしています。

Very accommodating teacher, clearly takes the students goals into mind when running the lesson which is very helpful for those looking to improve. Definitely recommend.

Taka is a great teacher who creates a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment. He knows how to let you express yourself while stepping in at the right moment to guide, correct, or suggest a more natural way to phrase things.
