I’m Girish! I grew up in South India speaking Kannada, Hindi, and English. Then, I spent time in the US, studying and working in biotech. In 2022, I embarked on an incredible 9-month cycling journey through Colombia and Ecuador, where I learned to speak Spanish fluently.
Currently, I’m cycling through the Himalayas, immersing myself in its diverse cultures, learning new languages, working on farms, learning to make websites, and honing life skills.

My mission is to help you feel confident and comfortable in the languages you’re learning.
With a structured approach, I aim to achieve this in just 20 classes. After only 5 sessions, I guarantee you’ll be able to recognize and read the script of your chosen language.
Another important mission of mine is to support locals and those less fortunate I meet along my travels. Most of my earnings (your fees) go towards helping these families, so you're contributing to their well-being through me.

Just catching up in Kannada, it was good again to try different sentence structures, and when I failed Girish was very helpful to help me built my sentence, and when he was saying something, he was helping me giving me clues when I did not understand to bring me to the answer :) Thank you teacher!

Girisg has been instrumental in me learning his native Kannada. His English is EXTREMELY good - good enough to explain complicated topics ranging from linguistics to politics, ecology and so on. He is not only a seroious scholar, but also a serious traveller on a bike all over India, so you can get an invaluable insight of Karnataka culture into the broader Indian and Asian context. HIGHLY recommended.

Aaaaaaah that was so good to have Girish back and get back to my Kannada lessons, I have enjoyed telling him about my book from a Kannadati author and about my weekend in the West Coast of Ireland, he is always so helpful and pushing me to find ways to express my ideas in various way so I can find the easiest way for me to remember. Great to be able to get back to Kannada after a long time, I just needed to have a conversation without pressure for a first one, and that was hard enough, having the words coming to my mind in all languages except Kannada...but Girish is very patient, and helpful so it helped a lot. I still got some new vocabulary out of it. I need to review some vocab before the next class...! Cant wait!

It’s my 2nd lesson with Girish today and like the first time it was a pleasure. I’m learning the history, and culture of India alongside the language.
He teaches in detail but doesn’t put pressure on the student.

My daughter is learning & picking up Kannada language with Girish Sir. Being from a non-kannada origin, I wanted my daughter to learn Kannda language, so that it will help her in schools once we move back to Bengaluru. My daughter likes Girish Sir teaching style and is confident to learn most of it in next few months.
