Iyo

Iyo-sensei is an energetic, patient, encouraging, and kind teacher. I was really comfortable talking with her. I enjoyed my first lesson with her and I look forward to more. ありがとうございます！

Very happy with this lesson and teacher. The lesson was enjoyable and I was able to speak comfortably at a level that I was confident in, with a healthy amount of encouragement from her as well. I will definitely find time for more of these lessons.

I only meet with Iyo once a week but we are already almost done with 4 chapters. I can make basic sentences and small conversations. I have learned a lot of vocabulary, grammar, and learned hiragana. Now we are moving on the katakana. Iyo really helps me to learn everything and remember it well with constant review and exercises. She also is very supportive when you forget some words and helps you to fix your mistakes. I recommend her for anyone learning Japanese!

I have taken many online and in person language classes, but I have never looked forward to them the way that I do Iyo-sensei’s lessons. They are so enjoyable that her lessons are one of the highlights of my week. I am so excited to keep learning with Iyo! I cannot recommend her beginners lessons enough, she is so creative and energetic. Thank you so much Iyo-sensei!

I have been learning with Iyo for a year now and I’m so happy with the progress I’ve had. I’m able to have basic conversations with my friends and was even able to get placed on a higher level Japanese in my university. I really enjoy how Iyo is always being up old material with the new one so I can remember much better. I never feel pressured even when I forget something’s and she always helps me remember. Looking forward to more lessons with Iyo if you want to learn you should try lessons with her!

Iyo is really good at getting you to remember material as she always has review that’s fun and engaging. You never feel bad if you forget something and she always finds a way to get you to remember later. Looking forward to learning more from her!
