Gina Gargoles

Gina is a very caring and patient teacher, and she pays attention to what I want to learn. She's always happy to make great new original learning materials, and tailor her lesson style and topics from my requests. Her personality is warm and gentle and she's open to chatting about local lifestyle too. She helps me with pronunciation and language structure using practical sample sentences, which also impart some Philippines customs in our lesson.

I've had a couple of classes with Gina, and I've to say, its been such a pleasure to learn Tagalog with her . Gina is friendly , approachable and well organized. She adapts the classes' to my learning needs and Im enjoying them. The classes' are very interactive which include, phrases, stories and general tit bits , so the learning sessions are fun and not monotonous. Its commendable that she scheduled one of the classes late night, so that she could adjust to my time zone .I was really impressed to see the commitment level. If anyone wants to learn Tagalog, Gina should be your first choice . I can assure you that you wont find anyone more committed than her. Im looking forward to learn more from her.

Great lesson with Gina! We reviewed the mag and um prefixes. Gina made sure that I knew why those prefixes are used. Then we learned about the ma prefix and why it is used. We worked on some example sentences using past, present and future. These prefixes are important and Gina is good at explaining them!

I really appreciate how Gina is active about expanding my Tagalog vocabulary. It feels great to feel like I'm consistently 'leveling up' rather getting stuck with the same beginner materials aka 'tutorial hell'. Again, my Tagalog knowledge is steadily refining and I'm super thankful for that!

Great lesson with Gina! We finished learning about the ma prefix. I asked Gina about the difference between si and ni, which she also explained. Then we started learning about the mang prefix. Gina is enthusiastic and likes to mention what her plan is for the next lesson!

Great lesson with Gina! We reviewed um verbs. I had the wrong idea about making the present tense, and Gina explained how to correctly conjugate the um verbs. We also started looking at ma verbs and will continue next lesson. Gina has a good approach to learn by making sentences!
