Salut/hello! 👋 I’m Matt, I’ve been teaching French privately for many years now, and I’m looking forward to guide you through your own language learning journey!

My speaking skills in French have improved a lot since the first lesson with Matt. I talk a lot and he remembers every single thing that I say and asks more about it immediately or in the next lesson. Even though we’re just having a conversation it is never boring. I usually only leave public reviews after a month but Matt is the first tutor I decided to leave a public review for within 2 lessons. He is one of the best language tutors I have ever had for the following reason. I am an intermediate French speaker (around B1) and I recommend any intermediate speaker to sign up with him.
• Conversations flow with him and he is a great listener. So you won’t have much problem if improving your conversation skills is your goal
• He is proficient in English (basically native level) so switching back and forth or overcoming confusions is never a problem
• His speed for providing and suggesting words is faster than with other tutors I have had
• He is encouraging, welcoming and has a bubbly personality which are very important under the stress of conversation classes
• He is focused on your errors and how to improve them which he showcases by through with you the new things you learned and your areas of weekends at the end of the class.

We spoke about the book that I am writing. This is excellent for me to practice my French, learn vocab that I would not normally be exposed to, and even develop ideas for my book.
All new vocab and phrases are shared in the chat so I can make a note of them and learn.
