I’m an English and English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher with diverse experience teaching online and in physical classrooms. I also have a background as a group facilitator, trainer, and curriculum developer. With approximately 10,000 online lessons under my belt, I’m now on italki to offer my extensive experience working with learners of all ages and proficiency levels – from preschool-aged children to adult learners. When I'm not working, I enjoy creating graphic designs, watching movies, reading, cooking, and traveling. Over the years, I’ve even been fortunate enough to combine teaching and my love of traveling by participating in teacher exchange programs in both Russia and China.

講師としての私
When meeting a new student, I first spend time interacting with them to gain a sense of where they are in their learning. From there, I begin working to help them make steady progress toward achieving their language proficiency goals. I fully appreciate how each student is individual in their abilities and learning style, so I strive to create a supportive, stimulating, learning environment in which each student can feel comfortable taking on challenges and pursuing success. Among the feedback I regularly get about my teaching is that I'm patient and encouraging.
レッスンおよびティーチングスタイル
To help develop a student's language skills, I like to create a relaxed classroom environment that still challenges the student to practice language just beyond their current proficiency level. In practice, this will include conversing with the student about high-interest topics, asking the student to respond to reading passages, videos, or audios, and only occasionally, engaging in quick, simple language drills if that's beneficial to a particular student. I certainly promote a student-centered classroom, prompt students to participate fully, check comprehension, and model language for the student in natural, real-world contexts.
