I’m a former midwife and I’ve been teaching English online for over three years. I love travel, reading, history, art, music and dogs! I live in the north of England and, although I was born in Wales, I speak with a slightly northern English accent. Make the most of my unusual skill set - an English language teacher with a background in healthcare! My former career as a midwife in the UK health service has given me extra insight into the learning needs of medical and rehabilitation professionals. I love the English language and helping learners unravel its complexities! I also really enjoy helping PhD students with their academic writing and I get real pleasure getting to know motivated, inspiring, focused learners.レッスン形式・教え方
My lessons are designed around the students’ interests and their requirements. I don’t run specific language courses - the lessons evolve week by week, based on what we’ve covered the week before. This system ensures that lessons remain dynamic, engaging and entertaining as well as informative and relevant.
Students who take the ‘Conversation Plus’ lessons receive a comprehensive lesson summary after each lesson with details of new vocabulary (with examples), relevant grammar and pronunciation guides, as well as email contact between lessons. With students taking grammar lessons, I use the Off2Class teaching platform, which also provides homework.教材
