🔰 If it is your first lesson with me, please book a "Trial Lesson" or 30min "Free Conversation" lesson. Let's get to know each other and talk about your goals! 📅 New availability is posted on the 20th of every month! Hi there! My name is Drew and I am from North Carolina in the United States. I like to play video games and watch scary movies when I have free time. And I also have a passion for teaching and can help you improve your English! In university I studied English linguistics and Japanese so I know the struggle of learning a foreign language. It wasn’t until I studied in Japan that I realized that the best way to improve your language skills was by talking to native speakers.

Drew is a great teacher to work with. He is passionate, patient, and knowledgeable. All my English questions got answered in our class, and he explained everything very clearly.

I talked about a few topics. With every topic Drew expands the conversation by adding what he thinks and knows. To be that our conversation becomes more colorful, deeper and interesting. Every time I feel really sad to get the end of the lesson. Next our lesson will be structured lesson. As free conversation lessons like today, structured lesson is always interesting, too. I’m looking forward to having one.

We have a structured lesson today. It’s about “Education “. Drew sent me two YouTube videos before the lesson. They are simple but I reaffirmed the basic information about the K-12 system, what actually they are like and the situation about teachers. I asked several questions to make clear my understanding. Then we compared about the problem and situation between in US and Japan. Both are not really great at all. Respect, good salary and working conditions…. It seems really difficult to make better those important matters. Although teachers are really important jobs. Well ,see you next week, thanks Drew!

I had a structured lesson today. We used a YouTube video. It’s about working places and employees. Could we make workplaces better? It started from problems of the building structure and design itself and then more complicated problems. This video was challenging for me because the vocabulary and her way of talking. But on top of that, it’s also mentioning and talking about the TV show called “Severance “. I don’t watch the drama yet. So sometimes I didn’t get what the creator referred . But while we watch the video again together, I asked Drew a lot. He explained me and those got clear. It was interesting and a good challenge for me. It’s also good to struggle to figure out unfamiliar topics. I feel like I get a sense of accomplishment.
