I'm a friendly, American teacher with a Master's in Education from Harvard University. I offer: 1) Speaking lessons for teenagers and adults (英语口语提升课程), 2) Interview coaching for MA, MBA, and PhD university admissions and medical residency interviews, including face-to-face interviews and KIRA assessments, and 3) Writing & Editing lessons for SOPs, personal statements, and academic writing samples. I teach 3 kinds of lessons - speaking skills, interview preparation, and writing lessons for university applications. I've been an English instructor for over 15 years, and I've taught students from China, Thailand, Japan, Korea, and more. I have a Master's degree in Education from Harvard University, and I also have a Cambridge CELTA certificate (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

Speaking Skills: Focusing 100% on speaking and listening skills, these conversation lessons teach students to speak with confidence and fluency in preparation for travel, study abroad, work, or the IELTS exam.
Writing & Editing: My writing lessons help students create strong application essays, SOPs, personal statements, and academic writing samples for Masters, PhD, and MBA applications. I also do offline editing and proofreading.
Interview Coaching: I help students prepare for MA, PhD, MBA, and Medical Residency interviews. These lessons help students build confidence and English fluency. I prepare students for face-to-face interviews as well as KIRA assessments.教材

Just received acceptance letters from Harvard, Columbia, and NYU after working with Alyssa for months. I’ve always found the writing lessons and brainstorming sessions with her incredibly helpful, and it clearly paid off. Alyssa is very resourceful and patient. There were times when I struggled with particular arguments or lines of thought, but Alyssa was very supportive and made me feel comfortable taking the time to reconstruct my thoughts, which has allowed me to improve my critical thinking skills during our time working together.
