Jocelyn

Joycelyn is a professional Chinese teacher. I was really impressed since the first class. She has a good sense about the student's language level and learning pace. She taught me how to pronounce the difficult alphabets and syllables very professionally by using the technics of comparing the similar pronunciation in Chinese and in other languages, and by showing the section image of what should happen the inside our mouth when we pronounce those alphabets and syllables. Joycelyn prepared the lesson very well including the textbook, simple conversation, listening workshop, and many more. She is polite, kind, helpful, open minded and fun to talk with. I feel that the course with Joycelyn is very cost-effective. If you're considering to have her as your Chinese teacher, you shouldn't hesitate : )

Jocelyn is absolutely amazing! When I started looking for a Chinese teacher, it was hard to know what I needed or what I was looking for. Fortunately, I met Jocelyn, who has been my Chinese tutor over the last few weeks and I cannot say enough good things about her. She is patient, caring, dependable and unfailingly responsive. Each class is filled with laughter. They are never boring and they also feel more like a conversation between friends. Instead of letting me get frustrated, Jocelyn corrects me in a way that makes me smile. Her willingness to keep me accountable to my studies/practice and her diligence to see it through to successful completion has impressed me. I have a long way to go on my Chinese learning pathway but I am glad to have Jocelyn with me on this journey!

Again a great lesson! I am really enjoying these lessons and I am always looking forward to the next lesson. Jocelyn is a really fun and engaging teacher and I look forward to see how far I can take my Chinese. I am still very much a beginner but I feel I can improve a lot via these lessons. Finally I started to speak in Chinese :)
