Thea

If you are interested in languages, Thea is a fantastic teacher/tutor/coach. Currently I'm focused on French but I'm also still improving in Spanish and I'm beginning vocabulary and grammar in Italian. Thea is able to compare and contrast various latin based languages with me. I find I can better remember grammar and vocabulary when I find similarities between French and Spanish or French and Italian. Furthermore because she is a passionate language learner herself, she always shares new resources and suggestions. My experience has always been great each and every week. Each class with Thea is a fun, interactive learning experience. She customises the lessons so they fit my way of learning and exploring the Spanish language. The variety of topics approached during the learning sessions is a great way to extend the vocabulary and to gain confidence in building more complex sentences. I highly recommend Thea as a tutor.

Thea is a most wonderful teacher! She takes the time to get to know you and tailors the curriculum based on your needs and how you learn best. She is very flexible and patient, making learning a lot less stressful. I've been a student for a few months and I can definitively say that I've learned more in my time with her than I could have on my own. She has wealth of knowledge not just with language and teaching techniques, but relevant experience with several different cultures. I would highly recommend her as an instructor ^_^

I like how Thea focuses on learning to speak (we mostly spoke in Spanish/Catalan during the class but branched out into English when needed. She is easy to talk to/with and we have a lot of the same interests, which is nice.

It's really easy working with Thea. She asks good questions and slows down to clarify anything I might not understand. She also gives really helpful context for words and phrases and when to properly use them.

Thea é calma e cuidadosa, sempre adaptando a aula ao estilo de aprendizado do aluno, além disso, me deu muitas dicas valiosas para aprender espanhol.
